Let Producers Be Brands!
English text
Among the events in which I participated during the Fuorisalone there is one in particular I want to talk about. It is a project that is also a beautiful example of what Made in Italy means, because is the result of the synergy between companies and designers. Let Producers Be Brands is a collaboration between three companies, namely Caon Arreda, Pizzicatolight and Carraro Edizioni, and Studio Luciano Bertoncini, who oversaw the design of the new product line that sees manufacturers create their own collections. The concept of Let Producers Be Brands is in fact the responsibility of becoming a brand, surpassing the role of mere executor and embracing the vision and ideas of designers, combining method and technology for the realization of the final project. And this is what has made the products of Italian design so appreciated around the world for many years now .
I saw the collection with mt own eyes, and I already tell you that the pieces are beautiful and I appreciated everything. The elegance of the lines fits exactly with the perfection of the creations, the simplicity of the forms is never cold and minimalist, but thanks to the use of materials, natural colors and light acquires a warm and domestic connotation.
The companies involved, as I said, are three.
The
strenght of material, the dynamism of lines and shapes, the refined semplicity
of products.
The essence
of Caon Arreda naturally expresses itself in a process of polished
semplification when a forty-year experience in carving woods meets design. The
dedication of Massimo Caon as a wood artisan, and the mastery of Luciano
Bertoncini, designer, gave life to a project with the original semplicity of
the materials themselves. Natural
gestures, dynamic shapes and an essential concept are origin and result of this virtuous encounter at the same
time. Prestigious
partnerships with international architects and designers brought Caon Nibe
& C. SNC to celebrated places like Moma in New York (with 2010 exhibition “Action!
Design Over Time”) and Triennale in Milan
(with an outdoor bench, designed by architect Toyo Ito) gaining important
recognitions for the obtained results.
Excellence
of tradition embraces contemporaneity in a unique and original creative and
productive project.
Carraro has
been manufacturing high level metalworks for over forty years. From laser
cutting to finishing, Carraro Tech considers every step of industrial carpentry
as an opportunity to study and research, a challenge to be overcome with expertise and brilliance.
Today Carraro Tech represents a fundamental resource for the big names that
turned to it.
Maturity
and experience have led Gianni, Dario, Adriano and Domenico to take charge of
offering their own product line, thanks to the vision and design of a great
expert: the encounter with Luciano Bertoncini gave birth to Carraro Edizioni
concept. The
partnership with Studio Luciano Bertoncini gradually becomes a noticeable
brand, made up with an essential style product line, in which design and
technology find their natural fusion. Different materials, put together with
elegance and modernity, shaped a perfect product line to furnish with style all
the “rooms of the world”.
Pizzicatolight
realizes products that fit with the subject more likely than with the space,
offering a clean, refined and essential design. The most
advanced technologies are used in order to create something that, due to its
shape and colors, feels with who’s using it and his desire to be part of that
very light that enhances the lamp itself. The hand of
designer Luciano Bertoncini makes the product a jewel. The research of
material, technologies and solutions not directly coming from the lighting
sector leads to an elegant and qualitative solution. In one
moment, Pizzicatolight lamps conquest the space and the eyes, catch the
lighting moment and make it enlightening.
The common thread that binds the brands is the skilful hand of Luciano Bertoncini, renowned architect and designer, with a career that includes collaborations with designers such as Joe Colombo and companies such as Aprilia, Technogym, Invicta, Diadora, Belstaff. At the event of Let Producers Be Brands I could see the Chap armchair, a modern classic with a casual and elegant twist, consisting of a painted aluminum frame and a chrome seat-grain leather.
Under the artistic direction of Studio Luciano Bertoncini, the producers were able to become publishers by combining technology and expertise, vision and project.
Lines, steel, wood, high quality materials, light, find a place and a meaning: the ideas take shape and the elements find their balance.
The design becomes the identifier element and reveals the brand.
